    Identication of Variance Moleculer Genotype Commercial Oil Palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) based on Random Amplified Polymorpism DNA (RAPD) Markers

    Abstract —Commercial oil palm is one of plant genotype have a inbreeding so that it will be genetic depression.  Genetic depression can cause difficulties to identification of genetic trait in palm oil, so that identification of moleculer variance is necessary to know the genetic potential of commercial palm oil to obtain initial information about genetic diversity. The objectives of this study was to find genetic diversity in commercial oil palm (E. guineensis Jacq.) by using five RAPD primers (OPC-12, OPH-12, OPC-7, OPI-20 and OPD-16). The results of this study showed that Polymorpism Information Content (PIC) was 0.338.  PCoA analysis showed that the moleculer varian was 43,72% and according to profil radial neighbour joining tree (NJtree) showed that three main groups. Keywords—Genetic Variation,Oil Palm , RAP

    The objective of this research were to study the influence of dormancy breaking methods on sugarpalm seed viability. This research was conducted at screenhouse in Agriculture Faculty, Universityof North Sumatera, Medan (± 25 m asl) from June-September 2012, using completely randomizeddesign with 8 treatments (control, water soaking 50ºC, 0.1%KNO3, 0.3%KNO3 , 0.5%KNO3 and0.1%HCl, 0.2%HCl, 0.3%HCl) with 4 replications. The results showed that dormancy breakingmethods were significantly effect to axis embryo length (5 week after planted), germinating time,viability, plant height, diameter bar, numbers root, root length, fresh weight, dry weight and werenot significantly to axis embryo length 4 WAP, normal sprout, abnormal sprout and the numberleaf extent

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Keragaman molekuler tanaman Kelapa Sawit Varietas MTG (Moderat Tahan Gano) dengan primer SSR. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Kultur Jaringan Tanaman, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sumatera Utara dan Laboratorium Bio Molekuler SSPL (Socfindo Seed Production and Laboratories) Bangun Bandar, Dolok Masihul, Serdang Bedagai Sumatera Utara, dimulai dari bulan Februari sampai September 2016. Individu yang diamati sebanyak 27 sampel tanaman Kelapa Sawit Varietas MTG yang dikeluarkan oleh PT. Socfin Indonesia menggunakan primer SSR. Pembentukan dendogram dilakukan dengan bantuan program DARwin 6.0.13. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa persentase polimorfik 100 % dan analisis filogenetik dendogram terbagi menjadi 3 kelompok utama yang terdiri dari 2 sub kelompok dari 27 sampel yang dianalisis
